A scan for new and changed music initiates when server starts without any prompting. One time the server restarted itself after a random shut down. Less frequently, in fact only twice, the server freezes while showing it is running and a force close of LMS is required to restart the server (system reboot may have resolved this). Sometimes it is minutes apart, sometimes hours apart. I am experiencing random server shut downs without a clear pattern. A fully functioning environment changed upon the install of LMS 7.9.2 24 hours ago. No recent software updates or additions have been made to the system. I did not wish to change a stable configuration but while recently catching up on the forums here I saw many concerns of mine would be addressed by the latest stable build. I just made a leap from LMS 7.7.5 to 7.9.2. Once the installation is complete, a dialog box will display confirming the software has been installed successfully and Windows Home Server will need to restart. Find Logitech Media Server and click Install. In the right window, click the Available tab. Go back to the Windows Home Server console and click Settings. Once the file is copied, close this window. Open the Add-ins folder and move or copy the latest version of Logitech Media Server for Windows Home Server that was downloaded in step one into this folder. This will open a new Windows shared/network folder. Locate the Shared Folders for Software, select it and click Open. Once you're logged in to the Windows Home Server console, click Shared Folders. Get the latest version of Logitech Media Server for Windows Home Server from the Downloads page. Once the uninstall is complete, a dialog box will display confirming the software has been uninstalled and Windows Home Server will need to restart. In the right window, click the Installed tab, find Logitech Media Server, and then click Uninstall. Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions. Get the latest version of Logitech Media Server from the Downloads page. You'll need to locate these files and folders manually. You may see a dialog box pop up saying not all files and folders were removed from the previous installation. Click Yes to make sure the next installation will be clean of any old preferences. You'll be prompted to delete preference and log files. You may be prompted to confirm the un-install.
